APIC = Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller ACPI = Advanced Configuration and Powermanagment Interface (AFAIK)
ACPI ist leider/gottseidank im Kernel noch nicht "so richtig" implementiert. Wenn du Festplatten, CPU oder sonstiges idle machen willst, nimmst du besser APM (Advanced Powermanagment). Ansonsten: APIC(!) würde ich auf jeden Fall anschalten (Unter "Processor type and features"). ACPI(!) findest du unter "General setup". Viel Spaß dabei... Rene
