nach dem Update auf SuSE 7.3 hat sich bei mir ein "Name Service Cache Daemon" der sich ohne Erfolg beim booten starten will:

Weis jemand was der tuen soll und wie ich Ihn entweder loswerde oder in Gang setze (wenn's Sinn macht)?
Er cached Systemaufrufe. Z.B. gethostbyname ... Einfach vi /etc/rc.config und START_NSCD="no" oder yast starten und die Variable START_NSCD ändern. Kannst du stoppen, macht in größeren Netzen oder beim Einsatz von LDAP zur Userauthentifizierung Sinn. bye Waldemar
