Systemkonfiguration :
Linux : Suse 7.0, Kernel 2.2.16
HW : GA-6BXDU, 1GB RAM, Dual PIII 450
HD-Ctrl. : ADAPTEC 29160 und 2940, sowie
der Onboard vom Mainboard.
Mein Server läuft und steht, usw.
ping ging bei jedem Stillstand noch.
telnet und andere dienste waren nicht moeglich.
Ich weiß nicht mehr ob die Hardware
oder Software oder beides Schuld ist.
Die Konfiguraion koennt ihr der boot.msg entnhemen.
Hinzukommt zu dem ganzen Dilemma, daß mit 2.2.16
das Backup mit ARKEIA ohne Probleme und zwar wirklich
ohne jegliche Probleme lief.
Mit Kernel 2.2.19 gab es gravierdende Probleme : Backup
wurde einfach nicht fertig. Lief auch noch nach 48 Stunden
wozu es sonst nur 6 Stunden benoetigte.
Mit Kernel 2.2.18, konnte ich mich nicht mal
mehr beim User-Interface von ARKEIA anmelden.
Wer von euch hat Rat und/oder Tat ?

Aus Sicherheitsgründen habe ich am 8.8.01
den Kernel 2.2.19 installiert. In diesem Moment
war mir nicht bewusst dass dieser nicht SMP
stabil ist.
Die neuen libs von suse wegen 2.2.19 hab ich installiert
sonst bootet er ja nicht mal.

jetzt ging ich 2.2.18, damit lief er ca. 22 Stunden.
