Hi,
are there any plans to include the recently announced CentOS 8 Devel repo [1] in OBS?
no, I was not aware off...
It provides some of the devel packages missing in RHEL8, which are important for buildroots. Notably, libuv-devel [2] is one such example, which is blocking many projects.
added them now.
Please do not make it part of the standard target, as the availability of such packages are not guaranteed, and has no counterpart in RHEL.
uhm, well, not sure if this is our problem .. I suppose CentOS won't take it away?
The RHEL target is anyway relative useless without RHN packages IMHO...
It's already been deleted for CentOS Stream, so I wouldn't count on it sticking around forever. The idea is that people are supposed to be filing bugs to Red Hat to have these packages added to the CodeReady Builder repo (PowerTools repo in CentOS), and this is a stopgap until that gets handled more fluidly. -- 真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org
