Current configuration:
<repository name="openSUSE_Tumbleweed"> <path project="openSUSE:Factory" repository="snapshot"/> </repository>
Proposed (matches default project configuration):
<repository name="openSUSE_Tumbleweed"> <path project="openSUSE:Tumbleweed" repository="standard"/> </repository>
In theory the change should solve the issues with the network Tumbleweed repository building against the wrong version of boost and prevent such issues form occurring in the future.
Note: this won't change anything: openSUSE:Tumbleweed/standard is nothing more than a placeholder, adding the path openSUSE:Factory/snapshot I explained in another mail already what the problem is with /snapshot... we expect a solution soonish
Additional note, presumable Factory:snapshot will be updated at some point and resolve the boost issue (as noted in the other thread), but sounds like this merely exposed this troublesome configuration.
Not really.. if you check the meta of openSUSE:Tumbleweed, you see:
<repository name="standard" rebuild="direct">
<path project="openSUSE:Factory" repository="snapshot"/>
<arch>i586</arch>
<arch>x86_64</arch>
</repository>
so in fact it's nothing but a wrapping project.. 0 content :) It's just
cheating the users as renaming openSUSE:Factory is not really feasible.
