All,
Another newbie question:
I'm trying to get the docs copied out to the /usr/share/packages/open2300 directory via %doc.
The makefile is not handling these files as part of the "make install" step. Maybe it has to?
I'm trying to do this via the specfile via:
%files
%defattr(644,root,root) %doc api.txt %doc COPYING %doc README %doc INSTALL %doc mysql2300.sql %doc open2300-dist.conf
But OBS is giving me an error for 11.0/11.1/factory:
The following directories are not even executable by their owner: drw-r--r-- 2 root root 0 Apr 6 16:27 /usr/share/doc/packages/open2300
I also tried %defattr(-,root,root) but then it complains about all the docs being executable.
I downloaded your project tarball and could see that all files have 755 permission set - including README, INSTALL, etc.
Fix the permissions on your sources, then "make install" will copy the files with the correct permissions and then, %defattr(-,root,root) would work perfectly as expected.
