Argh, rpm-4.1.1 shipped with 10.0 only supports dates >= 1997. They changed it to >= 1990 in rpm-4.4.1. Sounds like a rather stupid check to me... So, I'm folding all such dates to "Thu Jan 02 1997" for now, the "rpm birth date".
