Just released version 0.3.8 of the QT client for the buildservice, if anyone could take a look and give me feedback it would be greatly appreciated.
I had a look. It's already quite nice for browsing projects and packages. It's
also great to see that there is work going on in this area. For some use
cases the rich client is certainly more suitable than the web client or the
command line client.
Some comments (in random order):
- It would be nice, if it wouldn't be necessary to explicitly "connect". The
user information could be loaded automatically at startup (maybe a "refresh"
action somewhere might make sense).
- On the project tab there is no indication about the packages. The user has
to switch to the package tab to see what's in there. Maybe it would be better
to show a listview with the package list in a second column next to the
project list and switch the pane at the right to show the package information
when a package gets selected.
- The filter at the bottom of the package and project lists doesn't work yet.
It's pretty easy to make it work by using KListViewSearchLine.
- When switching to the package tab the last selected package info is shown,
even when another project has been selected and the package doesn't exist in
this project.
