--- Comment #6 from Antonio Larrosa
@Antonio, didn't you do something with the mpris? I have no clue here.
Hi, yes, I did the lua-lua-mpris package and maintained it... until mpv-mpris was released, which is a much better solution. The problem with the lua approach is that the lua language doesn't have appropriate data types for the mpris dbus interface, so it's not possible to pass it variables of appropriate types and the mpris plasma engine complains about that (rightfully). I've just submitted the mpv-mpris package to Leap 15.2 (https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/806834) and a delete request for lua-lua-mpris (https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/806837) and its orphaned dependencies (806839 and 806841). Since the reporter of the issue is using Leap 15.1, I checked and this particular package from 15.2 doesn't have any special runtime dependency and can be installed in 15.1, so my suggestion would be to: 1) Go to https://software.opensuse.org/download/package?package=mpv-mpris&project=multimedia%3Aapps and click on "openSUSE Leap 15.2" to perform an automatic installation of the package or if you prefer to use a terminal: 2) Go to https://software.opensuse.org/download/package?package=mpv-mpris&project=multimedia%3Aapps and click on "Grab binary packages directly". In the "Packages for openSUSE Leap 15.2" column, download the mpv-mpris-0.5-lp152.1.1.x86_64.rpm package and install it with: sudo zypper in ./mpv-mpris-0.5-lp152.1.1.x86_64.rpm -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
