[Bug 1171006] kernel RPM installation requires significantly more free space on /boot filesystem for Leap 15.2 Kernels

Michal, your comment about wide varying sizes for initrds makes sense. For me it just seemed suspicious that with Leap 15.1 I could have two kernel-RPMs installed and install another one without problems into this /boot filesystem and with Leap 15.2 it is even not possible when only one kernel RPM is already installed although the kernel itself has not grown that much.
