Starting with the latest Tumbleweed snapshot 20191022 (kernel 5.3.6-1-default) I get
kernel: ucsi_acpi USBC000:00: ucsi_ack: failed kernel: ucsi_acpi USBC000:00: PPM init failed (-110)
in my logs during system boot.
So what was the previous (working) kernel?
5.3.5-1

The error messages disappeared after installing the latest boltd update from today's Tumbleweed snapshot.
You mean the messages from the kernel above?
Yes.
Does fwupdmgr see the controller in older kernels?
Yes. I was able to update the controller via fwupdmgr. But: I am not sure, when this problem started, because I don't check for updates regularily. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
