--- Comment #64 from Chester Lin
@chester, I tested the following 32-bit arm systems with the latest patchset from https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/clin:/branches:/openSUSE:/ ARM:/arm32stub-Ard-patch/ARM/ with grub 2.04: * Chromebook (snow): kernel-lpae: OK * Chromebook (snow): kernel-default: OK * Raspberry Pi 2: kernel-lpae: OK * Raspberry Pi 2: kernel-default: KO, hangs after "EFI stub: Exiting boot services and installing virtual address map..." * Raspberry Pi 1 (armv6): KO (data abort, see bug#1145646)
Any idea why it would fail with kernel-default on RPi2? Maybe an unrelated bug?
Hi Guillaume, Please try this repo: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:clin:branches:openSUSE:ARM:armv... It contains the latest patch provided by Ard [arm32stub], Mike and Me [arm-mmu, it's still waiting for Russell King's review]. I have tried 5.2.9-1.g71d4424-default and it works fine on my rpi2. But I noticed that it might take a longer time [about 15 seconds] to boot kernel-default compared to kernel-lpae. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
