--- Comment #49 from Chester Lin
Is there any ETA for the efistub kernel patch planned? I would like to know because grub 2.04 release is currently blocked. If not could we agree on releasing 2.04 with good old zImage interface for armv7 "temporarily" until kernel's efistub patch arrives ? Thanks.
Actually I have another idea to avoid dram_base change [It's still 0] and but it could sacrifice the first 2MB in rpi2. All code changes are under arm32 so arm64 will not be affected. I have tested it on my rpi2 but need to know if it also works on other platforms such as Chromebook or Arndale before I submit to the upstream for code review. Hi Guillaume, Could you please help me to verify the test kernel? Here is the repo link: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/clin:/branches:/openSUSE:/A... Please install "kernel-lpae-5.2.1-2.1.gbf5c01b" [e.g, rpi2] or "kernel-default-5.2.1-2.1.gbf5c01b" based on platforms' original flavours. Besides, please compare the difference of the "MemTotal" field in /proc/meminfo. The differene should be about 2MB If any failure occurs, please add "memblock=debug efi=debug" in the kernel command line so that I can have more memmap information. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
