http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1143768 Bug ID: 1143768 Summary: VUL-1: CVE-2019-5060: SDL2_image: integer overflow in the XPM image Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: Other URL: https://smash.suse.de/issue/238551/ OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Security Assignee: jengelh@inai.de Reporter: atoptsoglou@suse.com QA Contact: security-team@suse.de Found By: Security Response Team Blocker: --- CVE-2019-5060 An exploitable code execution vulnerability exists in the XPM image rendering function of SDL2_image 2.0.4. A specially crafted XPM image can cause an integer overflow in the colorhash function, allocating too small of a buffer. This buffer can then be written out of bounds, resulting in a heap overflow, ultimately ending in code execution. An attacker can display a specially crafted image to trigger this vulnerability.
