http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1142247 Bug ID: 1142247 Summary: KDE:KDE3/kdelibs3: Bug dcopserver cannot start due to location of ICEauthority Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: openSUSE Factory Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: dsterba@suse.com Reporter: michael@actrix.gen.nz QA Contact: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com CC: belphegor@belbel.or.jp Found By: --- Blocker: --- kdelibs3 3.5.10. Kmail (kde3 version) would not start because dcopserver would not start. Iceauth reported the authority files was /run/user/500/ICEauthority. But an strace of dcopserver reported it was failing to open /home/michael/.ICEauthority. I worked around the problem by creating a symbolic link: ln -s /run/user/500/ICEauthority /home/michael/.ICEauthority This seemed to be happening to all users on my tumbleweed system. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
