--- Comment #4 from Martin Liška
I suspect an issue with glib2 (which unfortunately uses meson...), it should be possible to diff a working vs. non-working build log of that?
Yep, you found it very well: https://github.com/mesonbuild/meson/blob/master/mesonbuild/compilers/c.py#L6...
The log shows
[ 46s] Header
has symbol "RTLD_LAZY" : NO [ 46s] Header has symbol "RTLD_NOW" : NO [ 46s] Header has symbol "RTLD_GLOBAL" : NO that looks bogus at least.
Yep, very many others are detected in a wrong way.
I wonder if it makes sense to find config.log files from a build and store them somewhere for offline processing for this kind of issues? (won't help with alternate build systems of course) Or even make GCC itself log invocation of itself when it hits certain errors (somewhere, syslog?) and store that.
Yep, that would be handy of course..
[ 46s] Header
has symbol "pthread_attr_setstacksize" : NO [ 46s] Header has symbol "pthread_condattr_setclock" : NO [ 46s] Header has symbol "pthread_cond_timedwait_relative_np" : NO [ 46s] Header has symbol "pthread_getname_np" : NO also all broken btw.
