I would agree with that if it was about OBS repositories, community repositories however exist to make it easier for users to use their newly installed system, and carry some community trust and involvement.
Community repositories contain software that is not provided by openSUSE Making them higher priority would mean the openSUSE Project would be effectively saying "their software is preferred over our own" I'm pretty sure sure under any legislative framework worldwide, such an act could be argued to include openSUSE Project taking liability for the 3rd party repositories I don't think that's a sensible approach for the Project to take We take great care to ensure the software we ship in our name is stuff we're prepared to be responsible for For us to elevate community repositories higher than that, they would have to AT LEAST meet our standards of quality and legal/license correctness And as soon as they did..the software wouldn't be in a community repository any more...... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
