Did you run hciattach /dev/ttyAMA1 bcm43xx 921600?
And after this command: suse-pi:~ # hciconfig hci0: Type: Primary Bus: UART BD Address: AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA ACL MTU: 1021:8 SCO MTU: 64:1 DOWN RX bytes:668 acl:0 sco:0 events:34 errors:0 TX bytes:423 acl:0 sco:0 commands:34 errors:0
suse-pi:~ # hcitool dev Devices: suse-pi:~ #
But hcitool not usable.Still no hcitool.
I think this is just because the device is not up. Try hciconfig hci0 up.
Closing as RESOLVED INVALID as the command has to be run before using bluetooth.
suse-pi:~ # bluetoothctl Agent registered [bluetooth]# Bluetoothctl seem usable?
Running up but still cannot search any bluetooth devices. suse-pi:~ # hciattach /dev/ttyAMA1 bcm43xx 921600 bcm43xx_init Cannot open directory '/etc/firmware': No such file or directory Patch not found, continue anyway Set Controller UART speed to 921600 bit/s Device setup complete suse-pi:~ # hciconfig hci0 up suse-pi:~ # bluetoothctl Agent registered [bluetooth]# scan on Discovery started [CHG] Controller AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA Discovering: yes [bluetooth]# devices [bluetooth]# scan off Discovery stopped [CHG] Controller AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA Discovering: no [bluetooth]# exit suse-pi:~ # hcidump HCI sniffer - Bluetooth packet analyzer ver 5.50 device: hci0 snap_len: 1500 filter: 0xffffffffffffffff ^C suse-pi:~ # bluetoothctl Agent registered [bluetooth]# scan on Discovery started [CHG] Controller AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA Discovering: yes [bluetooth]# scan off [CHG] Controller AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA Discovering: no Discovery stopped [bluetooth]# devices [bluetooth]# exit suse-pi:~ # hciconfig hci0: Type: Primary Bus: UART BD Address: AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA ACL MTU: 1021:8 SCO MTU: 64:1 UP RUNNING RX bytes:1629 acl:0 sco:0 events:94 errors:0 TX bytes:1310 acl:0 sco:0 commands:89 errors:0 suse-pi:~ # Tips:My already set my phone to discoverable.
