http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1138719 Bug ID: 1138719 Summary: Kernel 4.12.14-lp150.12.64 disallows NFSv4 mounting with -o minorversion=2 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: neyers@geod.uni-bonn.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello, this kernel update made changes to limit the max minor version for NFSv4 mounts [0,1]. Now I cannot mount --previously (correctly?) working-- NFS shares with `-o minorversion=2`: # mount.nfs4 -o minorversion=2 hostname:/export /mnt mount.nfs4: an incorrect mount option was specified I'm restricted to `minorversion=1`: # mount.nfs4 -o minorversion=1 hostname:/export /mnt # mount | grep /mnt hostname:/export on /mnt type nfs4 (...,vers=4.1,...) Specifying `-o vers=4.2` works properly(?) though: # mount.nfs4 -o vers=4.2 hostname:/export /mnt # mount | grep /mnt hostname:/export on /mnt type nfs4 (...,vers=4.2,...) What is the need behind this change (jsc is internal)? Is the `vers=4.2` workaround the only way to still mount NFSv4.2 in Leap 15.0? Or is this unintended?
