OK, I am not sure how to proceed. We have in %post script
if test -z "$YAST_IS_RUNNING" ; then echo "Please remember to run '%{_libexecdir}/mailman/bin/mailman-generate-sysconfig' to configure mailman" fi
So, I guess we expect admins to sort this out themselves. Shouldn't I close this as WONTFIX? I am not completely eager to run this script automagically behind the admin’s back.
I'd prefer running the script automatically over having a broken-by-default mailman ;-) Maybe add a --only-gids option that only updates the /etc/mailman/*gid files? (In theory you could even ship /etc/mailman/*gid as empty files and only update them if they are really empty to avoid surprising changes, but I'm not sure if that's worth the additional effort.) BTW: I'm not alone - someone on the opensuse-de mailinglist also reported this problem today. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
