http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1133892 Bug ID: 1133892 Summary: "Displays - System Settings Module" does not confirm that new settings are good before keeping them Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: paul.richards@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The "Displays - System Settings Module" settings tool which allows users to change monitor outputs, screen resolutions, etc allows me to change settings in such a way that block me from seeing my desktop correctly and does not automatically revert to the last good settings. As is common in other desktop environments, this tool should seek positive confirmation from the user that the new settings are good. If no confirmation is received after some timeout, then the settings should be automatically reverted. ( When using the display settings tool to work around a different bug[1], my first attempt resulted in me disabling the wrong display. Not knowing the desktop environment well enough to drive it blind, I had to resort to single user mode and reset my home directory containing the monitor layout settings. A terrible first time openSUSE user experience. 1: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1133889 ) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
