--- Comment #6 from Ancor Gonzalez Sosa
A new minimal install : 1. avoid mounting /dev/sdb2 as /boot/efi 2. create /dev/sda1 as EFI Sytem Partition mount point /boot/efi everyting else as reported initially
Actually, we have decided to change the default suggestion about reusing EFI partitions for Leap 15.2. The upcoming 15.1 version will still suggest to mount /dev/sdb2 as /boot/efi, which should be ok in most cases (sharing a single EFI partition between all the operating systems is supposed to be the standard mechanism). But as you have already found by yourself, we have concluded that in multi-disk setups in which every disk is dedicated to a separate operating system, is generally more robust to have a separate EFI partition on each disk. So you did the right thing.

The only issue is that without the install-CD in drive, the system boots directly in Windows . The Linux boot loader says Detect foreign OS and the option "hid the menu" is not checked out . How could I fix this issue ?
Seems to be related to the BIOS/firmare configuration of your system. It seems to be configured to try the DVD drive first and sdb afterwards, but not sda. If a DVD is found, it runs the EFI partition of the openSUSE DVD. If you select then to "boot from hard disk", openSUSE finds the EFI partition of sda and runs it. All fine. But if there is no DVD, you computer decides to try with the next drive in its list, which seems to be sdb. Then it finds the EFI partition of Windows and runs it. It should be possible to enter the configuration screen of your computer and change the EFI booting order to try sda before trying sdb. Can you check if that's is possible? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
