Thanks to my long experience with YaST and its users I have two different
opinions:
1. Users are often confused when YaST does something behind their back.
Rewriting configs, setting defaults, ... anything that is not explicitly
understandable from the UI might be a confusing behavior and they report
it as a bug. From this POV, when a non-standard behavior is expected,
user should be informed.
The "information" doesn't need to be presented as a pop-up warning only.
On the other hand, we do not have a good style-guide guidance for such
cases.
2. Kubic is a very specific product with very specific users. They should
know a bit more about it. Ivan came with this "problem" during review,
it was actually a very good one, but it's implementation is tricky,
non-standard and we felt we need to know your opinion first.
You don't want that and we are fine. Closing as WONTFIX.
Thanks Ivan for reporting!
