Testing is simple:
zypper se --provides yast2-qt-branding
Look into my PR to see how "simple" that actually was. NOTHING in our work environment is ever simple. We live in a world full of random rules (enforced by mindless check-bots) and self-appointed experts who know everything better AFTER the fact, yet they are conspiciously absent whenever you need expert advice. You are welcome to try it: Build a patched version of the package in your OBS home project, create DUD (with OBS key!) from it, install with it or integrate it into a custom ISO, do that in different scenarios. If you are less lucky, you'll have to set up an NFS server with that RPM as a repo because it's used after base installation. I went through all that to get that one-liner patch tested. I do test my stuff, you know. I am not submitting anything that is not tested. I don't want to invalidate all that testing effort and thus throw all the invested time out of the window for the off chance that some exotic product might need it a different way. If anybody wants to submit a new package with that changed to what you suggest, they are welcome to do it (including the testing part, of course). I am not going to do it again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
