http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1130415 Bug ID: 1130415 Summary: Kubic: missing warning when changing language Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: jlopez@suse.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Language and keyboard layout can be selected during Kubic installation, but only the keyboard layout is persistently applied to the the resulting installed system. Recently, YaST team has introduced proper changes in the installer [1, 2] to avoid to set the selected language in the final system. But this could be a little confusing for the user, because the keyboard selection is stored but the system language will be always "en_US.UTF-8". To avoid possible confusion, the user should be alerted when a new language is selected. Such warning should explain that the selected language only takes effect during the installation, but the final system language will be "en_US.UTF-8".
