Thomas Blume
This is a DELL XPS 13 notebook (model 2018), so it is an x86_64 machine, it uses the i915 graphics module and it is brand new. Besides that, I have this warning on all of my Tumbleweed and Leap machines.
But I don't really care for that message - it causes no obvious problems.
The english keyboard settings for the LUKS password are much more annoying.
The error that is returned from the KD_FONT_OP_GET ioctl is causing the error messages as well as suppressing the console font setting on all consoles. So, the console where you type in the password has the wrong settings. kernel-team, it looks like the error message comes from the following code in drivers/tty/vt/vt.c: --> static int con_font_get(struct vc_data *vc, struct console_font_op *op) { struct console_font font; int rc = -EINVAL; int c; if (op->data) { font.data = kmalloc(max_font_size, GFP_KERNEL); if (!font.data) return -ENOMEM; } else font.data = NULL; console_lock(); if (vc->vc_mode != KD_TEXT) rc = -EINVAL; else if (vc->vc_sw->con_font_get) rc = vc->vc_sw->con_font_get(vc, &font); else rc = -ENOSYS; console_unlock(); if (rc) goto out; --< but I fail to find the conditions that would make vc->vc_sw->con_font_get(vc, &font) return success. Could you please take a look? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
