http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1124057 Bug ID: 1124057 Summary: GNOME:Factory/gnome-documents: Gnome Books won't load comics by default Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Factory Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: os.gnome.maintainers@gmail.com Reporter: ibboard@gmail.com QA Contact: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Gnome Books will list comics (e.g. CBZ files) but won't open them. It doesn't make it clear why and just says "Ooops,! Unable to load [file name]. File type Zip archive (application/zip) is not supported". The failure is because Gnome Books relies on evince for rendering, and evince-plugin-comicsdocument is required to load comics. I reported this upstream to get a more useful error message put in and they basically told me to go away and install the Flatpak, or get my distro to fix the dependencies (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-books/issues/15#note_427255) So, please can you add evince-plugin-comicsdocument as a dependency (or Recommends) to Gnome Books so that users don't get confused by it not opening comic books? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
