I do not see this on my system. Calibre is starting fine on 15.0.
I remember having seen this issue in the past, but I don't remember the
details. I think it went away after a reinstall I did shortly after, which
would suggest it had something to do with the local system.
Can you try calibre from Documentation:Tools? [1] Some time ago the ways fonts
were dealt with was changed in the package. It builds against a not updated
version of 15.0, but I think there are no relevant updates that should cause
trouble. If it does not start with a different error message, I'll provide a
updated build against update/Leap?15.0/
BTW: The best way to update to suggested version is first uninstalling the old
one. Or ignoring the warning. It is a kind of change that rpm is not happy
with.
