I do not know what is wrong with the logs, you are the expert! What I can say is that the issue still exists: After logout/login I first get the error message(s) "no password provided/wlan deactivated", but then kwallet opens, asks for the password and the connection is established.
The only thing that leads to such a behaviour is NM detects the AP support some WPS method and decides to negotiate with the AP. It might be due to the AP settings. There is nothing wrong the NM code. It worked before I opened this bug report, anyway, so something definitely changed.
Yep, as you said, you can disable wps method via nmcli to avoid this. Does it make sense to request that wps is disabled by default? If no one insists, I will close this bug as "wontfix" later on.
