--- Comment #8 from Stefan Dirsch
In case it's useful, here is the log of the boot when I installed the new kernel. You can see the RPM transactions from about the middle of the log.
Ok. So it seems it could be loaded. Just nvidia-drm does not. But I believe it is not neccessarily needed. Rgp 25 19:54:47 mahobay kernel: [drm:nv_drm_gem_fence_attach_ioctl [nvidia_drm]] *ERROR* [nvidia-drm] [GPU ID 0x00000100] Failed to lookup gem object for fence attach: 0x00000004 [...] Rgp 25 19:54:47 mahobay systemd[1]: Reloading. Rgp 25 19:54:47 mahobay kernel: [drm:nv_drm_gem_fence_attach_ioctl [nvidia_drm]] *ERROR* [nvidia-drm] [GPU ID 0x00000100] Failed to lookup gem object for fence attach: 0x00000004 [...] (In reply to Dainius Masiliunas from comment #7)
And here's the log of the boot after: no references to NVIDIA altogether and X failing to start.
So no nvidia module there any longer. Weird. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
