--- Comment #18 from Michael Chang
OK, the first time I manually edited the 30_os-prober file with nano replacing the 2 lines with the 2 new ones. That led to the fixed initrd line but, with the "=" at the end before the "}"
This time I backed up the original 30_os-prober to 30_os-prober-bak and made it unexecutable. Then I copied the contents of attachment 780484 [details] ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ into a text file and saved it as /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober.rpmnew. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
No, /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober.rpmnew (In reply to Cavs Fan from comment #17)

No. You can't create *.rpmnew your own. It is created by rpm during the package update. You can refer to this online doc for better explanation. [1] http://people.ds.cam.ac.uk/jw35/docs/rpm_config.html
Then I did this: mv /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober.rpmnew /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober and updated grub: sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg.
The ended up using attachment 780484, nothing changed ... :(
I rebooted and the "=" was still in the exact place as before.

If you look at line 261 of your attachment 780484 [details], it looks like there is the source of the extraneous "=".
No you attached that file. Please check again. :) That's why I can assume it is in your grub.cfg in the first place. It is not in the patch you applied either. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
