Hi Dick, thanks for provided info. Next time please tick that you provided requested info, so it gets back to our radar.
In general warning is correct as it really depends on your BIOS configuration as if your BIOS decide to boot from /dev/sdb it will have problem. I expect you as experienced user ensure it will boot from sda and not sdb. But it is generic message that we cannot guaranty that it will boot as it depends on BIOS settings. If both disks will have partition and enough mbr gap as sda, then we can install grub2 to both disk and we ensure it will boot.
But did I get it correctly that it is displayed also on running system? In such case we probably need different message and do not display it at all if system is not modifed.
Many Thanks for the update and the tick reminder. Yes the system has been running for some time and "I know" it will only boot from sda, but I do understand your point.
