Sorry, you got me lost. Could you, please, be more specific about which files
you worked on (remember grub.cfg is generated) and attach them before as well
as after YaST modified them for the first time, including the YaST log? This
would help find out what happened....
In general: If you want to boot two different systems via GRUB, one approach is
to rely on the OS prober (which is more common), when you need to have the
other bootloader ready for chainloading, or you can edit the custom entry - but
that is a purely manual work, no YaST UI for it.
