I think You got me wrong, the configuration change which possibly led to the
issue was not done by me. I have installed a very close to defaults system and
added just some packages. It was a result of the "version history" of the
system.
If journalctl is correct it was only one upgrade from 42.3 to 15.
The working installation is much older and had at least 2 upgrades done.
