--- Comment #11 from Stefan Brüns ---
Regarding udev/port identification comment on the brltty ML:
You can identify the physical location of a device from its devpath, which is
available in udev, e.g.:
$> ls -l /sys/bus/usb/devices/ | egrep '3-[24]:'
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Mai 16 17:33 3-2:1.0 ->
../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Mai 16 17:33 3-4:1.0 ->
../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-4/3-4:1.0/
$> lsusb -t | grep -A10 'Bus 03' | egrep 'Bus |Port [24]:'
/: Bus 03.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/15p, 480M
|__ Port 2: Dev 3, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=pl2303, 12M
|__ Port 4: Dev 5, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=pl2303, 12M
i.e. in the devpath you have '<Bus>-<Port>:>.<Interface>'
Note, logical port numbers may differ from the physical ordering on the hub.
