http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1092220 Bug ID: 1092220 Summary: Intel Baytrail - Controller never released inhibit bit(s) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: rbrown@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: lnussel@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 769270 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=769270&action=edit dmesg log Using Leap 15.0's latest development builds on my Intel Compute Stick (STCK1A32WFC) the SD card is utterly non functional Any SD card inserted into the slot produces a large number of dmesg errors (dmesg attached) including "mmc2: Controller never released inhbit bits" "mmc2: Reset 0x2 never completed" "mmc2blk2: error -5 sending status command, aborting" This is despite trying half a dozen cards of various sizes and speeds (Low Class 16GB, Class 10 32GB, and 64GB) Due to the message about voltage in dmesg I have tried swapping out the sticks power supply for several different ones, to no available. I am therefore convinced that it is a software bug. The same cards, on the same hardware, with the same power supply work perfectly with openSUSE Tumbleweed, leading me to believe it's a problem specific to Leap 15's kernel. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
