So what I think what is happening here is that snapper triggers btrfs
maintenance jobs which in the case of upgrade problems have of course more work
to do so the problem is more likely to appear there than in clean
installations. When the btrfs maintenance jobs are triggered then the shutdown
is at least slowed down a lot.
So https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1063638 should certainly help
there and we can workaround in the test by just waiting longer.
**Proposed fix**: Abort the running btrfs maintenance jobs when a system is
asked to shutdown.
@jeffm: As far as I understood the btrfs jobs can be interrupted and will be
automatically continued on the next boot. Is this correct? If yes, how could
the jobs be interrupted on shutdown?
