http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1091780 Bug ID: 1091780 Summary: Dolphin hides mount points for NTFS partitions since Tumbleweed update (at least 20180427) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Applications Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: ludger.ricken@thyssenkrupp.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- After a recent Tumbleweed update (zypper ref, zypper dup), Dolphin started to behave differently than before. My directories corresponding to the mount points for NTFS-formatted hard disks appear to be hidden now in Dolphin's default view. They used to be visible before the TW update. Of course, no change on my side to /etc/fstab or anything else. A simple ls -l doesn't reveal anything peculiar about these directories. They can be made visible in Dolphin via Alt+., then they can be accessed as normal. Krusader keeps showing these directories normally. Here's my full /etc/fstab: UUID=4912-D9DE /boot/efi vfat umask=0002,utf8=true 0 0 UUID=9bc866d3-2c3e-4934-8c8f-4e9adf94605b / ext4 noatime,acl,user_xattr,discard 1 1 UUID=d09c7771-e187-4ad4-a072-4a2f0a6283a2 /home ext4 noatime,acl,user_xattr,discard 1 2 UUID=d0e52c5d-112b-47dc-aa2c-7e1e31e38323 swap swap defaults 0 0 UUID=bcbaf43c-d9c4-48d9-9235-c314b6c33aa0 /home/myself/VMs ext4 acl,user_xattr,discard 1 2 UUID=67a1b900-6ed0-422d-8856-b08ef208ced2 /home/myself/Daten ext4 noatime, acl, discard 1 2 UUID=94B02D2BB02D14F0 /home/myself/DatenWin ntfs-3g nofail,noatime,user,users,uid=myself,gid=users,fmask=133,dmask=022,locale=de_DE.UTF-8 0 0 UUID=306AA7C005A0DFC0 /home/myself/XCs ntfs-3g nofail,noatime,user,users,uid=myself,gid=users,fmask=133,dmask=022,locale=de_DE.UTF-8 0 0 Dolphin shows the efi, root, home directories as well as /Daten and /VMs (all ext4) normally, while /DatenWin and /XCs (ntfs-3g) appear hidden now. The latter used two to be shown normally as well before the TW update. No dot as first character! efi, root, home, /Daten, /VMs and /XCs reside on the internal hard disk, only /DatenWin is on the external. Here's an excerpt from ls -l on /home/myself, taken with both internal and external hard disks mounted: drwxr-xr-x 2 myself users 4096 4. Jan 13:30 Bilder drwxr-xr-x 2 myself users 4096 18. I expect such mount points to be shown normally, i.e. as before and as for ext4 mount points. Thanks for checking into this issue. PS: In case you discover peculiarities in my fstab, I should like to receive your feedback. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
