It looks like your DE forces a higher font size, which has the same effect as the ServerArguments=-dpi line in sddm.conf.
Can you run the commands again after running "xrdb -remove"?
xrdb -remove ------------ Then came the tiny fonts, see the attached screenshots y2cc and sddm
Ok, that's weird. So we still fail at reproducing the original sddm issue in a desktop session. I guess that Qt's GTK platform plugin interferes here. Can you try
QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=1 /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2controlcenter QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=1 sddm-greeter --test-mode --theme /usr/share/sddm/themes/breeze-openSUSE
