The latter is what happens in my scenario. At least I think so, it was quite some time ago that I last tried. The daemon-reload serves only to make systemd forget units from the previous run. It might not even be necessary.
daemon-reload is needed otherwise the new entries added in fstab won't have any associated mount units. But still from the scenario you described in your first comment (create partitions -> fstab entries -> mkfs partitions), I fail to see why they would have been mounted automatically. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
