I tested a new image for the pine64 today:
openSUSE-Tumbleweed-ARM-JeOS-pine64.aarch64-2018.04.11-Build7.13.raw.xz

No problems with ping, zypper dup etc.
gcc7 has been fixed:
localhost:~ # rpm -q --changelog gcc7|head
