http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1088548 Bug ID: 1088548 Summary: The emacs-auctex package uses an obsolete date format and needs to be updated Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: Other OS: openSUSE Factory Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: mike.ressler@alum.mit.edu QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0 Build Identifier: In April 2017, the date format of LaTeX has been changed from yyyy/mm/dd to yyyy-mm-dd. This was fixed in auctex-11.90.2, but Leap 15.0 still delivers emacs-auctex-11.90. The current version of auctex is 12.1. The old date format causes emacs to not recognize that it has processed the file. Reference: https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/368408/auctex-says-latex-problems-af... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Prepare a LaTeX file with emacs + auctex 2. Press C-c C-c to process the file 3. Actual Results: Emacs *Messages* buffer says: "LaTeX: problems after {37} pages" (in my particular case - the "37" could be any number of pages) Expected Results: I would expect that the compilation would report success, and another C-c C-c sequence would ask me for the previewer program, not a repeat of the LaTeX program. The answer provided by giordano at https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/368408/auctex-says-latex-problems-af... describes the issue and its solution. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
