http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1088355 Bug ID: 1088355 Summary: Second Xscreen fails to show a desktop OR accept any input from mouse or keyboard Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.3 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: crubel@compro.net QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Looking at the list of Possible Duplicates I do not see one that matches my symptoms, so here goes: At this point I am not quiet sure exactly what component to report this under so please accept my apologies if I am not under the correct component. My system has 4 monitors connected, normally under OpenSuSE 13.2 we set each of these monitors as a separate XScreen. As we set this up the system creates a new desktop for each and we can then point each of our particular applications to the appropriate Xscreen and run it with the proper keyboard and/mouse input coming back properly. In this case we do get a blank Xscreen setup. Which would be OK as we do not need a desktop setup on our screens. The issue is that this screen accepts no input from the mouse or keyboard. To test it simply set your DISPLAY env var to the appropriate screen and open a terminal window. Click on the new terminal window and type anything. None of the keyboard input shows up on the new terminal window. I am sorry if I am not properly describing the issue, but hopefully you can decipher what I mean from my description. If you need any further information please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
