Far too often I get file conflicts where what obviously needs to happen is an old package needs to be replaced by the conflicting new package but there's apparently no way to tell zypper to do that.
Every time it comes up I spend a few hours trying to understand which packages are involved, searching for a way to install and remove in a single command, or for a replace command, or for a way to `zypper up` but exclude "zypper dup" should be used for tumbleweed updating. Apart from that I wonder what would be that "simple replacement" - what would you suggest?
