http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1047911 Bug ID: 1047911 Summary: kmod shall drop suse-module-tools require Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: All OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: mmarek@suse.com Reporter: jengelh@inai.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: dmueller@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Currently, kmod.spec has a Requires: suse-module-tools. The comment section of https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/508718 made me think about that line. Judging from the content of suse-module-tools, the following actions regarding s-m-t have come to mind: - drop Requires: suse-module-tools from kmod, requiring followup actions: - presence of weak-modules suggests s-m-t should be required by the %post sections of KMPs - presence of modsign suggests s-m-t might be needed by %post of kernel-*.spec - presence of config files suggests s-m-t should be required from aaa_base or so - possibly, any Requires: to get at the config files be demoted to Recommends. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
