Bug ID: 1047420
Summary: Fn key combination does not disable touchpad in Gnome
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE Distribution
Version: Leap 42.3
Hardware: x86-64
OS: SUSE Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: GNOME
Assignee: bnc-team-gnome@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Reporter: nwr10cst-oslnx@xxxxxxxxx
QA Contact: qa-bugs@xxxxxxx

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/52.0
Build Identifier:

When running Gnome, if I try to disable the touchpad with an Fn key
combination. I am seeing this on two different laptops.

When I use the key combination, there is an animation which suggests that the
touchpad is being toggled by that key combo. But it has no effect on actual
use of touchpad. (This works fine in KDE, but not in Gnome).

Maybe an added comment. I see the same sort of behavior in Tumbleweed when
using Gnome/Xorg. However the key combination works fine in
Tumbleweed/Wayland.

Reproducible: Always
