http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1045901 Bug ID: 1045901 Summary: strongswan 5.3.5: No connection possible! Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: LittleEndian OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Network Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: olafmartens@web.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- After an upgrade from Leap 42.2 (using strongswan-5.2.2) to Tumbleweed (using strongswan-5.3.5) Strongswan doesn't establish any connections any more although the configuration hasn't been changed after the update. Nmap shows port 500/udp as open and 4500/udp as open|filtered and has a message show up in the logs of charon. Attempting to open a connection from NetworkManager initially shows some activity, then returns to idle (no status messages, nothing). On top of that nothing is recorded server-side in the logs, which means that no negotiation is taking place at all. After upgrading Strongswan server-side but retaining Leap 42.2 client-side other issues showed themselves: The connection was established, but after a little bit of activity the connection choked. - Telnet running on the tunnel didn't reach the login prompt. - Loading web pages across the tunnel got stuck about one-third through the transfer. - IRC connections suddenly got stuck and timed out. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
