Herbert Meier
I tried to backport it, but totally untested.
Because of this warning I just took the patch from file drm-i915-Use-pagecache-write-to-prepopulate-shmemfs- and compiled just the i915 module for the 4.4.62-18.6-default kernel. With this patch I can still trigger the oops.

Is this kernel safe for a normal desktop system? It contains a lot of pretty new patches. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
