The culprit is MariaDB. With the KDE live DVD from this snapshot I cannot even
start akonadi at all without a preexisting database.
I captured the queries used to set it up and can crash mariadb very easily on
the new snapshot. Downgrading to mariadb from the released snapshot works fine.
However, as robby experienced it apparently *corrupts* existing databases!
rcmysql start
mysql < crash.sql
