http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1037392 Bug ID: 1037392 Summary: OpenSuSE goes to grub from USB Drive Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: 64bit OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Live Medium Assignee: coolo@suse.com Reporter: erecio@polywog.org QA Contact: coolo@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- When booting from USB drive written with dd, and written with imagewriter using the ISO 42.2 (md5: 470bf7670ec6c39882fcbf85cdba0d1d openSUSE-Leap-42.2-DVD-x86_64.iso) I can never boot. I just get dropped into the grub screen. I have ensured secure-boot is disabled. This is important because I have a brick for a desktop running tumbleweed. Screen keeps blinking and I cannot login. I am just trying to install with a stable version of OpenSuSE. I have also been able to sucessfully boot other OS's on the same USB drive (Fedora, Antergos) so it's not a faulty drive, and it's not a faulty system/BIOS. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
